The rooftop installation includes multiple stainless-steel cabinet units with top-mounted fans and insulated hydronic piping. The units are arranged in parallel and connected to the project pipework.

Locating the equipment on the roof keeps the plant away from guest areas and provides the open airflow required by air-source units. The insulated distribution piping carries the heating water between the rooftop equipment and the pool plant room.

The plant room: circulation, filtration and control

Inside the plant room, the pool water circulation and filtration loop is being connected. The installation includes sand filters, circulation equipment, valved headers and a control cabinet. This loop keeps the pool water filtered and moving; the heating side is normally connected through a suitable heat exchanger rather than sending treated pool water directly through the heat pumps.

The control cabinet brings together operating logic such as set points, pump control and safety interlocks. These settings should be commissioned with the final pool circulation, heating and ventilation controls.

Water storage and distribution
