Material Preparation and Kiln Operation


1. Stack the Timber

Timber boards are arranged in layers with stickers between them. Consistent sticker placement and clear airflow paths help conditioned air move through the load.


2. Load and Seal the Chamber

The stacked timber is placed inside the insulated kiln. After loading, the door is closed so the programmed chamber conditions can be maintained.


3. Run the Drying Schedule

The controller advances through the programmed stages while the heat pump, circulation fans, and dehumidification system regulate the chamber environment. The schedule should be developed for the specific timber and moisture target.


4. Inspect the Timber After the Cycle

At the end of the program, the load can be removed for moisture-content inspection and subsequent processing.
